The Company's objects are
(i) To purchase land or any right or interest therein either singly or jointly in partnership with any person or partnership Firm and develop the land for agricultural production on the principles of economic efficiency, social equity and ecological sustainability;
(ii) To improve land and subject to consents required by law) change or otherwise dispose of land;
(iii) Promote, assist or undertake programmes for production, processing, product diversification and by-product utilization for the development of agricultural commodities and enterprises;
(v) To use Land Development for the prevention or relief of poverty [or financial hardship] and the promotion of economic and social rights set out in Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
